Puglia Extra Virgin Olive Oil comes from Puglia (the heel of the boot) from the Terra di Bari & Castel del Monte estate. This estate has produced extra virgin olive oil of very high quality and with low acidity for three generations. It is made according to the old traditional methods that ensure that the quality and properties of the olive oil are preserved. They control all of the phases of the process, from the cultivation of the olive trees to the pressing and bottling. This results in olive oil of consistently high quality.
Olive VarietyPuglia is made from Coratina olives. These are harvested in the period from November to January and then processed into olive oil within a few hours using the 'cold pressing method'. By pressing the olives in this traditional way you get, as it is called in Italy, the green gold! Puglia has a strong and full taste: fruity and peppery with a hint of artichoke.
ApplicationVery suitable for hearty dishes, such as grilled meats and vegetables! Tip: this olive oil is best added to a dish at the very end.
