How do I place an order?
You may visit a local store where you will receive the full experience offered by Oil & Vinegar; you may call any of the stores and place your order over the phone using a credit card and/or gift card; or you may purchase from our website. If purchasing over the website, you will first add the products you wish to purchase into the shopping cart. Upon checkout, you will be asked to select a store location you wish to have ship your purchase and customer service will be handled by the independently-owned franchise location you have selected.
How do I change my order?
You may change your order at any time before you click the final SUBMIT ORDER button. Once you have submitted your order it can't be changed.
What about backorders?
Our products are sometimes backordered. In this case you will be notified by email that the item is currently on backorder and when it is expected to be restocked. If the backordered item is part of a larger order, you will be given the option to take a partial shipment or wait to have everything shipped when the backordered item(s) arrive.
How do I cancel my order?
During the checkout process you may make changes to your order but once it has been submitted, your order cannot be altered. We strive to make sure that when you place your order we begin processing it right away to provide you the best service and quickest delivery. If you wish to cancel the order, please call the store location you selected and request a cancellation.
What if I don't receive a confirmation of my order?
If you don't receive confirmation of your order within 48 hours, please call us at 206-285-0517 to inquire.
How do I place an order to be shipped outside of the United States?
Please call us at 206-285-0517 for assistance. We currently do not offer International ordering on our website.
How does your site calculate sales tax?
Taxes are calculated according to where your order is being shipped.
Can I use my gift card to purchase on the Webshop?
Currently, we are unable to process your gift card for on-line purchases, but you may use with a phone order. Call your local store to inquire about gift card balance and use for purchase.
I have an old gift card. Can I still use it?
Our gift cards have no expiration date and are not redeemable for cash.
When do orders ship?
Orders received by 10:00 am local time typically ship the same day. Orders placed after 10:00 am, on National Holidays or on the weekends will generally ship the next business day after your order is placed.
When will I know my order has been shipped?
You will receive a tracking number via email once your order has shipped to the e-mail you provide during checkout.
Am I restricted as to where I can have my order shipped to?
For website orders, shipping destinations are limited to physical addresses in the Continental US, Alaska, Puerto Rico and Hawaii. Please call us at 206-285-0517 if you would like to make special arrangements to ship outside the United States or to APO/FPO addresses. We will not ship to PO boxes. A specific order can only be shipped to one address.
What shipping carriers do you use?
FEDEX, UPS, or USPS are all carriers we work with.
How fast will I get my order?
Typically, your order should arrive within 5-7 business days or less, depending on the delivery address in relation to the store location selected to ship from. Please keep this in mind if time is critical. If you order contains an item that is not in-stock, we will contact you directly via e-mail or phone to provide an estimated in-stock date and/or make alternative recommendations.
How are shipping charges calculated?
We offer a flat rate shipping fee for orders shipped within the Continental United States or within Alaska or Puerto Rico. For orders shipped from Continental United States to Alaska, Puerto Rico or Hawaii an additional fee applies. Charges will be indicated at checkout.
Why do you need my contact number and e-mail?
We must have accurate contact information in case of product back-orders or delivery issues. Also, your e-mail address is used to send your order confirmation and tracking information for your shipment. Your information will never be sold or shared with any third parties.
What is your policy on returns?
We guarantee your complete satisfaction with the products we sell from our stores and website. If you wish to return merchandise which is still in the original packaging and un-opened we require you to contact us at the shop location where the goods were purchased within 30 days. If any products you have purchased are damaged or defective, or part of an incorrect shipment, we will make appropriate arrangements to have them picked up. In either case, we will exchange the product, issue a store credit, or offer a refund as the circumstances dictate. If you have any questions please call us at 206-285-0517 between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm PST, Monday through Friday.
Can an order submitted on the website be cancelled?
Website orders are processed immediately once received. If you wish to cancel an order, please contact the local store which you selected to ship your order from within 24 hours of confirmation to request cancellation and refund of amounts billed to your credit card. Please have the credit card information and the order confirmation number available.
At Oil & Vinegar, we like to refer to our customers as our “Guests”. Our #1 priority is to provide our Guests with a culinary experience not soon forgotten. Our Guests may sample products at their leisure and receive advice on product use and recipe ideas from our friendly and knowledgeable staff. All purchases may be gift-wrapped on the spot in an attractive way. The shop’s design, atmosphere and sampling options turn shopping into an adventurous experience.
