Koroneiki Extra Virgin Olive Oil comes from the Chania region on the sunny Greek island of Crete. The olives are picked by hand. Although manual harvest is very labor intensive, it prevents the olives from getting damaged, which is essential to retain the quality of the olive oil. Within 3 to 12 hours of the harvest, the olives are brought to the press for ‘cold pressing’.
Olive VarietyKoroneiki consists of 100% olives from the Koroneiki olive tree. This olive variety is known for its refined, fruity, and full flavor. They are relatively small olives that can only grow in hot and dry climates.
ApplicationDue to the relatively mild taste, Koroneiki is easy to combine with a wide variety of dishes. Delicious with feta, breads like baguettes, white fish, and seafood. Of course it’s also ideally suited for a delicious Greek salad!
