Nocellara is made by a Sicilian family-owned business in Italy. The estate has been run by the Santangelo family for generations. With dedication and passion, they work together on their great pride, the Nocellara Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
The company was founded in 1923 by Guiseppe Santangelo. At the time, the estate had 300 olive trees and the olives were pressed with a donkey-powered stone mill. A professional pressing system was purchased in 1993 to get the very best out of the olives. But otherwise, everything in the company still exudes the passion and atmosphere of the past!
Olive Type:This oil is made with a single variety of olive, the Nocellara del Belice. This olive variety only grows on the Italian island of Sicily and has a unique taste that is characterized as fruity, nutty, and rich.
Application :The Nocellara is best served with dishes that have a relatively strong flavor, such as beef, roasted vegetables, arugula, and seafood.
Combine with: Elderflower Apple Lime Vinegar Lemon Vinegar Date Bacon Balsamic Vinegar
